ADMISSIONS
Applying to Valley Art Institute
You must submit an application to Valley Art Institute for the session and program for which you are interested.
Your application must be received prior to the start of the quarter you wish to attend.

(818) 712-0819 to set up an interview/evaluation session with the director or one of the instructors. VAI will only register students in person and in the case of minor children,
only those accompanied by an adult parent or guardian.

Acceptance and Payment
After the interview/evaluation and acceptance, the student will complete all application, pay tuition and be scheduled for class or classes. You will also be asked to read and sign our tuition
payment/refund policy form at this time. There is a one-time, non- refundable $75.00 registration fee for all new students who apply to Valley Art Institute.
PAYMENT POLICY
Upon acceptance you will be requested to pay for your first quarter in full. Continuing students will be billed in three monthly installments. Payments are always due the first of each month. Late
payments will incur a $25.00 late fee. THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS POLICY.
REFUNDS. Valley Art Institute will only refund tuition payments if written notification is given prior to the third week of classes and only for the unused portion
of the tuition payment. After the third week the full tuition payment will be required regardless of attendance. Students may makeup up to two classes per session
only during other available class times.
Should a student decide to withdraw after the first week of classes a refund of the tuition paid to that date will be issued minus classes attended, registration fee and any material or model
fees associated with your class or classes. Refunds may take up to twelve weeks.
Tuition is not transferable from one quarter to another. Missed classes will not be prorated.
The students may schedule up to two makeup classes each quarter. A student may not carry makeup days for missed classes to another quarter. No refunds will be issued if a student is removed
for disciplinary reasons. Students should review the rules of the school before registering for classes.
Student Schedule Choices
In order for a student to be considered a College Preparatory Student they must submit samples of work and enroll for two – day class schedule per week. Additional assistance is given
to college preparatory students in research of schools the students wish to apply to and coordinating individual portfolios to meet those specific requirements.
Mondays 4pm – 7 pm
Tuesdays 4pm – 7 pm
Wednesdays 4pm – 7 pm
Thursdays 4pm – 7 pm
Occasional Saturday Workshops (Fee Based)
Occasional Saturday Field Trips (Nominal Fee)
TUITION COST
(Supplies are the responsibility of the student)
48 Class weeks per year in four 12 week sessions. There is a one week break in between sessions.
Monthly tuition for two–class schedule per week: $236.00
Monthly tuition for one–class schedule per week: $173.00
Monthly tuition for senior citizens one-class schedule per week: $123.00
A nominal discount is offered if tuition is paid by cash or check. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express for tuition payments.
College Preparatory Students in Junior or Senior years of high school or Junior College students who plan on transferring to an art department or art school may participate in our College
Counseling Service. Ask for information regarding this program and its costs. Students who participate in this program will receive a 10% tuition discount during the year that
they enroll in the counseling program. |
